Traceability is the ability to verify the history, location, or application of an item by means of documented recorded identification so that goods can be recalled based on the information of precise date/time and exact location.

 

 

System Requirements

One of the world’s leading providers of beverage container would like to identify the bar codes, characters and numbers one the ink-jet printing labels at 7 units per second run rate and 99.9% above correctness. Since there are no enough engineers in the factory, the customer would like to implement a reliable system with ease-of-use graphical user interface.

System Description

Accordingly, Advantech provides the PC-based automated optical identification system with multiple cameras to identify the bar code, data code, and the character on the beverage container. The system consists AIIS-1240, 4-CH PoE compact vision system with Intel® Core™ i7 CPU; Inspector Express, a graphical user interface machine vision application software specifically designed to simplify the design and deployment of automated inspection on the factory floor; QCAM-GM0640-120CE, 0.3 Megapixel industrial camera, features with PoE (Power over Ethernet) to simply the installation and maintenance.

Conclusion

The deployment of the UNO-2053GL thin clients meant that the customer was able to upgrade their manufacturing management infrastructure on time, under budget and achieve a quick ROI.
